When I began my career in recruitment a decade ago, I believed it was all about personalization. It wasn’t until later that I realized I was actually individualizing the experience, which was impacting my efficiency.
The key to finding a balance between personalization and efficiency lies in automation.
The first step in this journey is to listen to your own convictions “What are you willing to automate?” and examine the repetitive tasks you handle regularly.
I joined folk three years ago, and during that time, I avoided relying heavily on automation. I wanted to ensure that my personalized approach was well-refined and foolproof.
However, I recently took the time to reflect on my work and identified several tasks I repeatedly perform:
- Handling applications: Repeatedly sending feedback explaining that we’re not yet hiring globally at folk. Check out this tutorial
- Handling applications: Sending the same email to share my Calendly link with applicants we want to invite for screening calls. Check out this tutorial
- Sourcing: Exporting contacts via CSV to import into LGM once a lead has been qualified. Check out this tutorial.
- Interview process: Sending the same introductory email to the Hiring Lead after validating a screening call. Check out this tutorial
- Onboarding process: Migrating contacts to our folk's Team group once they’ve accepted an offer.
- Onboarding process: Sending the same email requesting administrative and HR information to prepare contracts. Check out this tutorial
Here comes folk's integration with Make, unlocking a field of endless opportunities 🥳
How to create automation between folk and Make to send automatic emails?
- Watch People: Let's start by connecting and making sure Make is monitoring adequate contact group on folk
- Get a Person: Set your trigger so that Make gets the adequate person. Here we want for Make scenario to be triggered only if an application's churn reason is updated
- Filter: Create a filtering condition so that Make scenario gets triggered only in certain cases. Here it’d be only when the churn reason “timezone” is selected.
- Send a Gmail: Final stage is for you to set your email. You decide from which email it'd be sent and then write the email content. 💡 Use HTML - super easy to do via Clipboard Inspector - to include formatting in your email
