Crunchbase

Useful to : Discover company in your industry/development stage etc. For instance I will use Crunchbase to gather a list of companies in SaaS industry, based in Europe in their Series-A stage, I will scrap this list of companies provided by Crunchbase then use an OR Builder to build a boolean string.

Filtering tips:

Series-A stage for longer than 12 months
filter using the date of the latest investment round

Mattermark

Useful to: Discover company in your industry/development stage etc. For instance I will use Mattermark the same way I use Crunchbase, to gather a list of companies in SaaS industry, based in Europe in their Series-A stage, I will scrap this list of companies provided by Mattermark then use an OR Builder to build a boolean string.

I discovered Mattermark a week ago and have a slightly preference to it rather than Crunchbase as Mattermark provides a lot of relevant filters (at least in the free trial).
